White Trash (work in progress)

I propose to use the projection room to create an installation based work called ‘Sorry’. This involves constructing a sculptural humpy and experimenting with its suspension and lighting options and fluorescent text and stenciling. This project also involves audience participation during open studio days and presentation in August.

Sorry (installation in progress)
A studio in Gallery 1 will facilitate the construction of several mixed media humpies and operate as a research station for the cultural significance of humpies in Indigenous culture. This body of work will go towards an exhibition to be held in conjunction with Reconciliation Week/National Sorry Day in Castlemaine in 2021.
