Walk of Life  - Moulamein 2019

Ephemeral, Participatory Installation

So I figured out what to do with all of those life drawings under the bed..........and turned them into an ephemeral art installation at this years Easter Confest at Moulamein NSW.

The Walk of Life consisted of 80 pencil and charcoal life drawings strung up in a maze like structure amidst the bushland and campsites at Confest. Audience members were asked to go clothing free to participate in this event, to wonder naked through the art maze looking at the naked figures in the pictures. At the festival conclusion the drawings were taken down and burnt in a closing ceremony, the ashes from the work were scattered on the installation site amidst the gums. This project was kindly supported by a Confest Art Installation Grant.
