Candy Stevens is a Central Victorian artist whose practice explores Australian culture, landscape and identity. Her social and environmental concerns are expressed through bold sculptures, paintings and installations that form a confronting and playful critique of colonization

Having spent a decade creating ephemeral grass sculptures, Candy has more recently returned to painting and is recycling her grass sculptures into new work. Working from Studio2 CASPA in Castlemaine, her practice continues to draw upon recycled materials including textiles and plastics.
